We love the streetwear look of black vegan Matéo sneakers. On top of being stylish, they are made from eco-responsible materials: a grain-based leather alternative and apple-based leather alternative.

To design this pair, the Ashoka brand called on the talented designer David Matéo, an expert in the footwear field for 20 years.

Italian grained bio-based material, approved by PETA, made from vegetable oil derived from cereals not intended for consumption and GMO-free.

Composition: 31% Viscose / 51.06% Cereals / 17.94% Polyurethane.

Smooth outer materials : 
Italian smooth bio-based material, approved by PETA, made from vegetable oil derived from cereals not intended for consumption and GMO-free.  

Composition: 31% Cotton / 53.04% cereal / 14.96% Polyurethane.

Apple Skin, Italian bio-based material made from apple waste. Composition: Apple Waste 26% / Cotton 16% / Polyester 20% / Polyurethane 38%.

Panels in faux suede  made from recycled polyester (61%).

Removable insole:
Injected for even more comfort and lightweight walking. It perfectly follows the shape of the arch of the foot. Removable, so it can be replaced with an orthopedic insole if needed.
