Fenics
Fenics is a young French brand created by Clément, an entrepreneur at heart, who has been working in the world of sneakers for about fifteen years now. This enthusiast of innovative projects, a nostalgic brown-haired man from the 80s era in which he grew up, had the idea of making us " Sail towards the future while keeping a vintage spirit ".
This gives you retro-inspired sneakers made from apple fiber!
Clément wanted to create sneakers that would take us through the ages, inspired by the design of sneakers from the 80s . The result is up to par: sneakers with vintage lines, quite thin but with character thanks to the beautifully screen-printed Fenics logo.Taking inspiration from 80s design , yes, but with manufacturing focused on the future .
Sneakers that respect people, animals and the planet
Fenics is not just a sneaker brand. The founder wanted to bring to his brand values that were important to him, including environmental protection . "The environmental issue has become a central topic for me in recent years, so manufacturing as ethically as possible, with the smallest possible ecological footprint, was obvious."
He therefore favored the use of vegan materials that are both sustainable and eco-responsible :
- Apple “leather” for the upper of the sneaker.
- Soles made partly from recycled materials.
Every step, from the manufacturing process to delivery, has been carefully studied to limit its impact. Fenics had the life cycle of its sneakers analyzed by Fairlymade .
The carbon footprint of a pair of Fenics is 3kg CO2e, 50% less than an equivalent pair of sneakers, the water and energy impact is also halved.
Here's how sneaker manufacturing impacts three key resources:
Delivery is only made in mainland France and Belgium, because as Clément says “we can’t be sustainable and ship our products to the four corners of the world”.
Fenics sneakers are ethically made, in an artisanal workshop in Spain, powered by renewable energy.
So for all those nostalgic or fans of the 80s looking for a pair of eco-responsible sneakers with a vintage style , the Fenics should appeal to you.
