Instead of animal hide and chemicals, natural and recycled components (including algae-based "SeaweedSkin") are used to make these animal-friendly, environmentally conscious sneakers.

Focus on algae-based material  "SeaweedSkin" :

SeaweedSkin production begins with harvesting algae directly from natural marine ecosystems. Once dried, the algae are turned into fibers and then blended with polyurethane to create a binder. This mixture is then applied to a recycled polyamide textile base. The result: a high-performance biomaterial that pays tribute to marine flora.

A study conducted by the certified agency FairlyMade shows that the production of MushroomSkin emits 3.39 kg of CO2 per m² compared with 61 kg of CO2 per m² for animal leather.
