- Outer : plant-based material made from olive (87% plant-based & recycled material extracted from olive industry waste, 13% bio-PU).
- Inner lining: recycled cotton (80%) + PES (20%)
- Laces : recycled cotton (100%)
- Removable insole : 100% recycled foam
- Outsole: recycled synthetic rubber (70%)
- Glue: vegan resin-based
- Label: recycled polyester
- Box: recycled cardboard & flyer made from recycled paper (30%) and organic corn residues (15%)
Environmental impact
Each pair of Zèta vegan sneakers emits 6kg of CO2, compared with 15kg for a classic pair of sneakers.
Zèta carried out a life cycle assessment of its shoes, notably using ADEME's tool, to understand their impact and reduce it as much as possible.
This analysis takes into account the manufacturing and processing of raw materials, the production of the shoes, their transport from Portugal to France, their use based on a lifespan of 3 years, and end-of-life recycling.
