Why is it called a docker's hat?
Dockers were the men who worked loading and unloading ships in the ports. They were the ones who started wearing this style of short caps with wide cuffs to protect themselves from the cold, humidity, wind and also the sun that beat down on their heads.
The docker's hat then left the ports to be worn by the working class, then in the 60s it was adopted by artists, rock groups...
Docker hats have long found their place in the fashion world, and today in an eco-responsible version with this organic cotton model.
