Carbon footprint
Low carbon footprint: MoEa's LCA, carried out by the certified FAIRLY MADE® solution, shows that cactus leather emits 94% less C02 than animal leather. The production of one pair of RUSH generates about 9.65 kg of CO₂ equivalent. By comparison, one pair of ORIGIN in animal leather would emit 30.11 kg of CO₂e.
CO₂e estimates are based on life cycle assessments (LCA) and impact calculations provided by our material suppliers and third-party tools (FAIRLY MADE®) in 2023, as well as MoEa's internal eco-design calculations.
