- Upper : grape-based plant material made from waste from wine production
- Coffee material: 15% coffee, 50% cotton, 35% water-based PU
- Inner lining: mesh made from plastic bottles collected from the Mediterranean (100%)
- Laces : recycled plastic (100%)
- Removable insole : recycled foam (100%)
- Outsole: coffee (10%) and recycled synthetic rubber (90%)
- Vegan glue : upcycled latex
- Label: recycled polyester
- Box: recycled cardboard & flyer made from recycled paper (30%) and organic corn residues (15%)
Each pair of Zèta vegan trainers emits 6kg of CO2, compared with 15kg for a classic pair of trainers.
Zèta carried out a life cycle assessment of its shoes, notably using the ADEME tool, to understand their impact and reduce it as much as possible.
This analysis takes into account the production and processing of raw materials, the manufacturing of the shoes, their transport from Portugal to France, their use based on a lifespan of 3 years, and recycling at end of life.
