Panorama

Panorama is the story of a meeting in Nantes in 2018: that of Stéphane and William. Stéphane has been a stylist in the shoe industry for over 30 years, he hires William, a student in digital business strategy, for a two-year work-study program to support him on the web side.

They get to know each other and start sharing their desires and ideas . William then expresses his desire to carry out a committed project that would respect the planet and people. The idea of combining fashion and respect for the environment appeals to Stéphane.

Together they paint a picture of their collaboration: creating stylish, modern, timeless and comfortable sustainable sneakers.

They chose to create an ethical and aesthetic unisex sneaker and carefully selected responsible materials . “For us, it was unthinkable to create a new product on the market without thinking about its social and environmental impact . We have opted for an approach different focused on proximity, respect for human rights and quality with the aim of reducing our overall impact .

Sustainable, recycled and vegan materials

AppleSkin

Used for the upper of sneakers , this innovative material incorporates apple waste into its composition , hence its name: AppleSkin .
This waste, from the food industry, is crushed to become a powder that is mixed with other materials (polyester, cotton and polyurethane). This mixture will create a paste similar to animal leather , just as resistant but 100% vegan!

SEAQUAL

Used for the lining and insole of sneakers, this material is made from plastic bottles fished out of the sea . They are collected by fishermen and crushed into flakes. They are then cleaned, melted and mixed with recycled cotton and recycled polyester to make a new thread.

Recycled rubber

For durable, comfortable and eco-responsible soles, Panorama uses a mixture of natural, recycled and synthetic rubber .

FSC recycled

Even the packaging is not left to chance. Panorama uses boxes made of because your FS C recycled : designed with recycled wood from sustainably and responsibly managed forests.

A European confection

For William and Stéphane, it was out of the question to produce on the other side of the world, so they chose to work with a European manufacturing workshop . The Panorama sneakers are therefore made in Portugal in the Porto region in Filipe's artisanal workshop.

The raw materials come from Italy and Spain , they are sent to Filipe's workshop who, with his team, works on the cutting, stitching and assembly of the sneakers .

Stéphane and William were immediately impressed by the factory : “ We were able to see the quality of the work in Filipe’s workshop. We visited the whole factory and met the employees. Many of them are from Filipe's family and most of them live very close to their workplace. In short, we wanted to make sure that the factory did not employ child labor, that the employees had normal working conditions and that the manufacturing quality was up to par. Our soles and our FSC recycled cardboard boxes also come from Portuguese suppliers , in direct contact with Filipe, so that production runs as smoothly as possible."

One of Panorama's ambitions is to bring all or part of their production back to France by 2022.

Do less to do better

This is Panorama's mission . In order to avoid over-producing, the brand has chosen the pre-order system.

“We have a responsibility to create in the right way , in the right quantity and at the right price without excess and extravagance.”

Panorama wants to go even further in its approach and have a positive impact on the ground, 1% of its turnover is donated to 1%fortheplanet to help associations that fight for the protection of the environment.
